Burner & Combustion Safety Control System

Alberta, Canada

Overview

PTW was contracted by a leading oil and gas producer to provide a reliable burner system capable of supplying the maximum amount of heat into the heavy oil (1,000 barrel) production tank. Raw casing gas was used as the primary fuel with fluctuating pressure supply and entrained liquids.
PTW’s trained technicians provided an efficient system that supplied a maximum heat input into the oil using the 10” fire tube. The system included:

  • High efficiency burner assembly with a high aspiration fuel to air mixer, venturi barrel and true secondary air control
  • Accurate and programmable temperature control
  • Simple and reliable CSA B149.3 compliant valve train
  • Combustion safety controller

Using the latest technology, the client received an operator friendly system with optimum performance of the oil heating process.
