PTW Electricians Successfully Implement Cutting-Edge LTE Infrastructure in Challenging Mine Environments
PTW Calgary Branch comprising of team members led by Lorin Riley, along with a team of skilled PTW electricians, including Pat Mcroberts, Jay Carr, Joshua Boomgaarden, Logan Welton, Kayl Spiller, and Carlo Khem Libaton, recently completed a fabrication and custom LTE electrical skids installation project for a large Canadian mining company, demonstrating both expertise in fabrication and field services.
The project was undertaken in the PTW Modular yard, where the team meticulously built the custom LTE electrical skids. These specialised skids were then transported to the client’s mine site, where the team then played a pivotal role in installing LTE equipment, microwave dishes, communication systems, and power cabling. The installations took place at 10 separate LTE locations, situated at some of the highest elevations in the mine, requiring the use of bucket trucks and Aerial Work Platforms (AWPs).
Our team was commended for their hard work and commitment by our client and were praised for their organisation, professionalism, and can-do attitudes.
This project not only showcased PTW’s capabilities in fabrication and field services but has also led to securing a master service agreement at the mine. This accomplishment not only recognizes the exceptional work completed but also paves the way for future fieldwork.
Congratulations to the team for their hard work and completion of another successful project!
