Then and Now: Dan Arnold
Dan Arnold’s journey with PTW began in 2004 when he started as an Electrical Manager, bringing with him 12 years of previous experience. This role set the stage for a rewarding and dynamic career. Dan took on the Area Manager position in 2010 as he moved up. From 2012 to 2020, he combined the Instrument Manager and Area Manager positions, showing his ability to adapt and lead in different areas.
As the sole Area Manager for our Taber branch, Dan oversees operations while drawing on his experience in electrical, instrumentation, and branch management. This role reflects his growth and PTW’s trust in him, showing how a career is built on dedication and the supportive environment at PTW.
Dan shares an insight from his career: “Over the years, I’ve learned that while customers evolve and change, your team is the constant foundation. It’s crucial to provide them with a solid and supportive workplace.” This highlights his focus on creating a positive and stable work environment, recognizing that a company’s success depends on the well-being and loyalty of its employees.
Dan stays with PTW for several reasons, including his strong relationships with long-time employees who feel like family to him. “My team is a big part of it. I have long-standing employees who feel like family to me,” he says. He also values PTW’s commitment to being a top employer and the freedom and trust he has to manage his area, which is supported by PTW’s Safety, Quality, and Performance teams.
Outside work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and participating in Oldtimers Hockey and Water Sports. His dedication at PTW is also seen in his personal life, where he focuses strongly on family and community.
