Rooftop Solar Module Installation

Overview

PTW was contracted by an Edmonton Public School to perform the turnkey design and installation of their 6.4kW DC rooftop solar panel system. The school required a ballasted racking system to eliminate the need for roof penetration, and to accommodate the future addition of another 20 solar modules. The array our team designed met all client requirements, CSA standards (C22.2 No. 107.1-01), and CEC 2015 requirements.
In addition to offsetting the electricity consumed, the school utilized the solar panel installation to teach students, and community members, about energy efficiency, consumption and production. Using performance monitoring technology, students of the school  are able to review in real-time the solar array’s contribution to more sustainable living.

• Project management and installation of solar modules, ballasted racking system, cabling, inverter and performance monitoring system
